I think the girl’s name is Lucy.
This evening, the girl walked back into her house. A few minutes later, a different woman came out. This one looked much older: perhaps in her forties. She had neatly trimmed, dusty-blond hair, cargo shorts, and a tank top.
The woman slammed the door behind her and began moving swiftly towards the tree. When she reached it, she paused for a second, then leaned against it and began muttering under her breath. I could hear the word “Lucy,” among several other words I didn’t understand. Eventually, in a slightly calmer state, the woman turned and moved back inside the house.
I hope Lucy is okay.
